The role you’ll contribute:
Britain Development is an early intervention program for children from birth through six years of age with special needs.The Pathways Program is an early intervention program within Britain Development that is specifically designed to serve the needs of young children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for overseeing the behavioral treatment plan of each child who is enrolled in the Pathways Program in collaboration with the child’s team of therapists (physical, occupational, speech-language, and music) and teachers.The BCBA provides supervision for all Behavior Technicians who are implementing behavioral programs.
S/he is accountable for using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to establish and carry out individual child treatment plans and working within the parameters of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board regulatory standards and established policies, protocols and procedures
The BCBA demonstrates leadership/management skills and a commitment to professional accountability and growth. The BCBA serves as a role model for the mission, vision and values of Advent Health Shawnee Mission.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Complete the process of pre-authorization for evaluation and authorization/re-authorization for treatment from insurance company.
Conduct initial and annual re-assessments of children on caseload.
Develop comprehensive treatment plans for the family and insurance companies.
Provide direct individual ABA treatment to assist children to develop maximum cognitive, social, self-help, communication, and motor skills
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
Master’s Degree
1 Years of Position-Related Experience
Board Certified Behavior Analyst by BACB
Kansas Behavior Analyst License
Missouri Behavior Analyst License
Preferred qualifications:
2 Years of Position-Related Experience
Crisis De-Escalation Techniques
HeartSaver CPR obtained through the American Heart Association
First Aid Certification
