Job Summary

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Geisinger, a national leader in quality, innovation, research and education, is seeking BC/BE oral and maxillofacial surgeons at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. The successful candidates will join a full-scope academic CODA-accredited training OMFS practice with a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care in collaboration with multiple departments in the health system.  The practice has a special emphasis on maxillofacial trauma, dentoalveolar and implant surgery with in-office sedation, corrective jaw surgery, cleft palate, TMJ and reconstructive surgery.  These are fantastic opportunities for new graduates or experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeons to teach and work with residents and participate in research with dedicated faculty time designation. 

Job Duties

• Maxillofacial trauma
• Dentoalveolar and implant surgery (including in-office sedation)
• Corrective jaw surgery
• Cleft/craniofacial surgery
• TMJ and reconstructive surgery

• Participate in a well-established OMS residency program offering:

• • Experienced surgeons interested in mentoring residents and shaping the next generation of OMS providers
  • New graduates seeking mentorship and support through board certification

• Strong collegial, team-based environment across departments
• Multidisciplinary care model with close collaboration across specialties
• Shared trauma call coverage between OMS, Plastics, and ENT
